Ringing in the Holidays

Happy November Brown County! (Can you believe it’s November already??) If you’re still planning a trip to Brown County this year, don’t fret! Even though it’s getting colder, there is still plenty to do whether you’re a group of friends, a family, or a couple.  If you need some ideas or itineraries, visit our trip idea page and we’ve got you covered! There are some great events going on this month!

For all of the creative minds – the 4th annual Create it with Gingerbread Competition is on November 23, and the exhibit is open until December 14! It’s a competition truly unique to Brown County, and cash prizes are given for the best entries – for all ages.  Coming up soon, an event for chocolate lovers – the Chocolate Walk is on November 9. Walk around the village and sample chocolates at participating businesses. This event sells out so get your tickets fast or plan a trip for next year, it’s an annual event every November. And it’s for a great cause – all proceeds go to the Brown County Humane Society. Help the animals and eat chocolate!! For art lovers – the Winter Art & Craft Fair is on November 29-30.  This crafty event features local and regional artists.

Want to spend Thanksgiving in Brown County?? Well, you can! These restaurants will be open for lunch or dinner (hours vary) on the holiday, call and make a reservation today at The Artists Colony Inn and Restaurant, the Harvest Dining Room at the Brown County Inn, the Nashville House, the Accent Dining Room at the Seasons Lodge, or Story Inn Restaurant.

Kick off Christmas with us at the Visitors Center! The weekend of November 29-December 1 we are here to celebrate! We have Santa Sightings, a live Nativity scene, strolling carolers throughout the Village and an Open House equipped with hot cocoa and cookies! The Pioneer Village will also be open to the public for a Thanksgiving
