Celebrate All Things Art During Art Colony Weekend!

Did you know that Brown County is one of America’s original art colonies? Did you know it’s also home to one of the oldest art galleries in the nation? That’s right, around here art is more than just something to admire, it’s a way of life…and it always has been!

Dubbed the “Art Colony of the Midwest,” Brown County has deep artistic roots, stretching all the way back to the late 1800s! A long-standing haven for the arts, it’s still living up to the title today.

That’s exactly why this September Brown County will celebrate its historic past during the 4th annual Art Colony Weekend, September 7-9.

Get Lost in the Wonderful World of Art During Art Colony Weekend

Steeped in rich art heritage, Brown County has and always will be a haven for artists! Drawn to the area’s breathtaking vistas, lush scenery, and interesting characters, artists migrated to the region nearly a century ago to establish their own art colony, one of the first of its kind in the Midwest.

This September, Brown County will pay special tribute to its historic past and present-day art heritage during Art Colony Weekend, September 8-10!
