For the past 13 years, thousands have flocked to the historic and picturesque Story Inn for the Indiana Wine Fair. And this year was no different, except that I was one of those people!
Even though this year the weather was far less than ideal for late April (cool, rainy, and only in the low 50s), it didn’t seem to slow people down. With over 30 wineries from all across the state, the Wine Fair is one of the oldest and largest wine events in Indiana. No wonder people braved the weather to check it out. After all, who wouldn’t want to spend an afternoon filled with wine, food, and music!
The past couple of weeks, it’s been easy to see that I’m not alone in my happiness and relief that winter is over. The streets of Nashville have been busy with visitors strolling in and out of shops, parks and walking trails have been filling up, and even the animals seem to be much more active. It’s finally nice enough to be outside again and everyone seems to be taking advantage of it!
As the trails in the State Park and around the county begin to dry out, there are plenty of ways to get outdoors and enjoy Brown County in bloom this spring. There’s hiking, horseback riding, canoeing, camping, zip lining, and of course mountain biking.
Rich Hill Magic & Fun Emporium may be new in town, but
this magician has been working his magic for years
Brown County is definitely full of unique shops, unlike those you would find anywhere else. From homemade candy to handcrafted pottery, you can find just about anything here. But, to Rich Hill, there just seemed to be something missing. And that something, in fact, was a magic shop.
Brown County adds new shop, Rich Hill Magic & Fun Emporium, to its eclectic collection of stores. From basic pranks to big scale stage illusions, this store is Brown County’s new one stop magic shop! Of course, naturally, I had to go check it out myself. Lucky for me, I was able to talk to Rich about his new shop and his passion for magic. Here’s what he had to say…
Fall is a magical time of year in Brown County. The sights, sounds, and smells of the fall season are all around. From the vibrant colors of the leaves to the tantalizing scent of warm apple cider, Brown County is a great place to be during the autumn months.
